Harley-Davidson Museum

Harley-Davidson Museum

Just back from the 105th Anniversary and like the more than 150,000 other riders who attended the celebration — all I can say is WOW, what an incredible biker festival!

First an update for all the folks who left comments while I was traveling…everything is now current on the site with the exception of a comment from “Mudd” (ex-wife of a policeman) who used more four letter words than a drunk sailor so, in the interest of keeping the name calling to a minimum I deleted the post.

The 105th event is a capstone of the pilgrimage to Milwaukee every five years — and getting there was more than half the fun.

It was common to hear the rumble of a Harley (or ten of them), no matter what time of day, or night.  And like me a lot of people came to Milwaukee to visit.  We weren’t use to the city, or have never been there, but the one thing you could count on was the people being friendly.  It was a stand-out moment of the trip.

I’ll be posting several articles over the next few days once I collect my thoughts and photos.  From bull riding babes at Knucklefest to secret photos inside the Harley-Davidson “big twin” factory!  And yes,  I scored tickets to the HD museum so I’ll have several pictures from there too.

Stay tuned.

UPDATE: A log of the trip starts HERE.
